47: REWIND EPISODE How Mayor Paige Cognetti's financial skills have guided her through life and career

This episode is a rewind episode of my conversation with Mayor Paige Cognetti, the first female Mayor of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming Mayor, Mayor Cognetti advised the Pennsylvania Auditor General on the oversight of public school districts and care for older adults. Mayor Cognetti also served in the Obama administration as a senior advisor to the Under Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Treasury Department and prior to that she worked as an investment advisor in New York City. Mayor Cognetti holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in English Literature from the University of Oregon Clark Honors College. In this episode Mayor Cognetti gives us a candid view into the world of politics and how her financial skills have guided her through several career changes. She emphasizes  the importance of early financial education, especially for girls.
